Theunique is a smart aroma diffuser that comes with several natural and hand-made agarwood tablets. The diffuser heats the tablet multi-dimensionally, creating an immersive aroma environment in the vehicle. This method of volatilization is more efficient and longer-lasting than traditional burning, making agarwood more accessible and affordable.

The design and realization of Theunique involved a blend of modern biotechnology and traditional craftsmanship. The making of the portable natural agarwood tablet involved six months of perfection using biotechnology, physical thermostat control, fine grinding, and careful multi-dimensional moulding by hand. The diffuser is made up of a magnetic heat-absorbed insulation cover, polymer insulation product body, and anodised aluminium casing to improve the time, efficiency, and effectiveness of volatilisation.

Theunique was born out of a project that aimed to modernize the traditional agarwood industry and make it more accessible. The research for the project began in 2014, and the product set was launched in the market in 2017. The project has been a great success, with the product series winning international awards like IF and Red Dot. Partners and clients include Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Accor Hotels, InterContinental Hotels, and Bank of China.

The design process was not without its challenges. One of the main challenges was to maximize the efficiency of aroma volatilisation. The space inside of a vehicle, the duration and speed of volatilisation, the density of aroma, and the temperature of heating were all factors that had to be carefully calculated and tested. Additionally, the diffuser is inserted inside of the cigarette lighter, and different vehicles have different standards, making it difficult to adjust to them.

Theunique has been granted with design and technology patents and is qualified with international safety standards of SGS and ROHS. Its unique design and innovative use of technology have earned it the Silver A' Vehicle Parts, Auto Accessories and Care Products Design Award in 2020, a testament to its outstanding expertise and innovation.
